IN THIS TOUR:
Piazzetta e Capri tour
At a time to suit your schedule, one of our drivers will collect you from your accommodation, and take you to the port of Sorrento, for the start of your day in Capri. Once your have met your English-speaking skipper, you will set off in the direction of Capri. Travelling along the coastline you will have the option to stop for a dip in the blue waters, and even visit the ruins at the famous Regina Giovanna cove.
Capri has some stunning vistas, including the famous Faraglioni rocks, in themselves a symbol of the Island, or Marina Piccola, just a small fishing harbour, which boast some of the best restaurants on the Island. On this tour we will visit both the White and Green Grottos. Your Skipper will moor in one of the most beautiful bays to allow time for swimming and snorkelling in the waters that are at least 1000 shades of blue. While you relax onboard and sip a glass of local limoncello in the shade – the skipper will point out the famous lighthouse at Punta Carena – one of the most spectacular and tallest in the whole Mediterranean. It features in many films including the Oscar winning “La Grande Bellezza” in 2014.
Directly after the lighthouse, we will pass the entrance to the Blue Grotto. If you like we can arrange a visit here, depending on the sea conditions and availability, you transfer to a small rowboat to enter and witness first hand the incredible light show that nature produces with the water. A site to behold especially if some of the local boat men regale you with typical Neapolitan songs!
If you like you can also choose to spend some time on the Island itself, maybe try some of the local food and wine. A must is a typical Caprese Salad, made with local mozzarella & the Sorrentine tomatoes, or the Caprese cake, the most famous cake produced in Capri, made with almonds and chocolate – delicious! After we recommend you take a stroll among the tiny streets, enjoy some shopping and of course a Limoncello. Your day will finish off with the Sunsetting over Capri as we return to Sorrento.
